# Generate
> Create, edit, publish, and index AI-optimized pages
Generate is the workspace for creating net-new GEO pages that AI engines can cite. It replaces the older "GEO Pages" naming in the product sidebar. Use it to review AI-suggested page ideas, manually generate a page, edit generated content, publish to the live domain, and request Google indexing after a page is live.
## Page flow
Generate is organized around the standard user flow: create a page, review the preview, edit the CMS page when needed, publish it, then request indexing.

Open the detail page when you need build logs, source material, deploy history, or the exact failure reason.
## Main layout
Generate has a two-pane layout:

| **Left list** | Search, filter, sort, and select pages. Click a row to load its preview. |
| **Right preview** | View the generated page, open the page, edit it, publish it, or request indexing after it is live. |
The list supports:
* **Search pages** by title or URL path.
* **Sort** by newest, oldest, or title.
* **Product** filtering for commerce workspaces.
* **Date** presets: all time, last 7/14/30 days, or a custom range.
* **Select pages** from the `...` menu for bulk publish, unpublish, or delete.
## Create a page
Open the `...` menu in the header and choose **Manual Generation**.
Then fill out the creation form:
1. **URL path** - Enter the route without the domain, for example `comparison/product-a-vs-product-b`.
2. **Page description** - Describe the user question, angle, audience, and required claims.
3. **Products** - Map the page to specific products when the workspace has a product catalog.
4. **Reference content** - Attach knowledge-base documents, paste text, add URLs, or upload files.
5. **Images** - Mark uploaded images as either **Asset** (embed on page) or **Reference** (visual guidance only).
6. **Generate** - Start the page-generation batch. The generated page appears back in Generate when the job finishes.
Good descriptions sound like a marketer briefing a writer: include the target user, the decision they are making, the competitors or alternatives to address, and the proof points the page must cite.
## Auto Generation
Choose **Auto Generation** from the `...` menu to ask Anymorph to create recommended page ideas from visibility gaps and intent data. Enter the maximum number of pages to request. The job runs asynchronously and generated pages appear in Generate when they are ready to review.
Use Auto Generation when you want Anymorph to decide what to create next. Use Manual Generation when you already know the exact URL and page angle.
## Open the edit page
Review the page on the **Preview** tab first. When the copy, layout, or proof points need changes, enter the editor before publishing.
1. From the right preview panel, click **Edit** in the floating action bar.
2. Click the page title or **View Detail**, then click **Edit content** on the page detail screen.
The edit page opens the CMS-backed page editor. Use the left chat panel for natural-language edits such as "make the intro more comparison-focused" or "add proof points from the research." You can also select text directly in the rendered preview and use the inline toolbar for formatting or direct text edits. Changes appear live in the preview, then use **Save** when the page is ready.
## Detail page
Open a detail page by clicking the page title, route, or **View Detail** in the preview panel. Detail pages are useful when you need more context than the compact preview shows.
Detail tabs and sections include:

| **Logs** | Review generation/build/deploy pipeline logs. |
| **Linked action** | See the Fix or strategy action that led to this page, when available. |
| **Research sources** | Inspect source material gathered during generation. |
| **Deploy history** | Review versions and deployment timestamps. |
Detail-page actions include **Regenerate**, **Refresh screenshot**, **Publish**, **Edit content**, and **Delete** depending on the page status.
## Publish to Live
The normal review flow is:
Select a page, read the right-side preview, and open the detail page if you need logs or sources.
Click **Edit** or **Edit content** to adjust the CMS page with natural-language or inline edits.
Click **Publish** on the preview. The page moves to the **Live** tab after deployment finishes.
Deleting a live page can create a 404 for URLs that AI engines or users may already reference. Prefer unpublishing or editing unless the URL must be removed.
## Request Google indexing
After a page is live, Generate shows its index state near the preview actions and in the list when index status is available.
Status labels mean:
| Label | Meaning |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Not indexed** | Google has not confirmed the URL as indexed yet. |
| **Request index** | Click to copy the live URL and open Google Search Console URL Inspection. Paste the copied URL, run inspection, then click **Request indexing** in GSC. |
| **Requested (D+n)** | An indexing request was recorded n days ago. Hover/click to **Undo** if it was requested by mistake. |
| **Indexed** | Google reports the URL as indexed. |
| **Canonical indexed** | Google indexes the page through a canonical URL. Treat this as indexed unless the canonical target is wrong. |
Indexing requires a live URL and a connected Search Console property. If Search Console is not connected, connect it from **Settings -> Integrations** first. Google Search Console has a daily request quota, so plan for up to 10 manual indexing requests per day. After a successful request, pages usually move faster through indexing and can show as **Indexed** within 1-2 days.
## Bulk operations
Open the `...` menu and choose **Select pages**. Available bulk actions depend on the active tab:

| **Live** | Unpublish or delete selected pages |
Bulk actions are useful after reviewing many generated pages, but use bulk delete carefully on live URLs.
## Troubleshooting
The page may still be generating, building, or deploying. Wait for the status to leave **In progress**. If it is stuck, open the detail page and check **Logs**.
Check that the workspace domain has a Search Console property and that the connected account has permission. The URL is copied to your clipboard even when the deep link cannot be opened.
Editing requires a generated preview/build artifact. Wait for generation to complete or regenerate the page if the build failed.
