# Visibility

> Track brand presence, share, sentiment, competitors, and top citations

Visibility is the main analytics view for AI-search performance. It answers: how often does your brand appear, where do competitors stand, which engines mention you, and which pages AI engines cite most?

## Filters

The header can include these filters depending on your workspace:

| Filter         | Use it for                                                                                                                  |
| -------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Date range** | View 7, 30, 60, or 90 days of visibility data.                                                                              |
| **Product** | Narrow the dashboard to one tracked product. Appears when product data exists. |
| **Language** | Compare multilingual markets such as English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, or Spanish. Appears when multiple languages exist. |

<Tip>
  Use 7 days for recent movement and 30 days for the default weekly review. Use 60-90 days when evaluating a campaign or seasonal trend.

## Visibility Score

The score card shows your overall AI visibility for the selected filters. It combines brand mentions, position-adjusted word count, sentiment, source strength, and competitive context into one score.

How to read it:

| Pattern      | Meaning                                                                                                 |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Rising trend | Your content, citations, or third-party signals are improving. |
| Flat trend | You may need new prompts, new pages, or stronger sources. |
| Sudden spike | A page, citation source, or competitor movement changed the answer set. |
| Sudden drop  | Inspect [Prompt](/dashboard/prompts), [Citations](/dashboard/citations), and recent competitor content. |

## Key metrics

The metric row summarizes:

| Metric              | Meaning                                                      |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Visibility rank** | Your rank among tracked competitors for the selected period. |
| **Avg mentions** | Average number of brand mentions per relevant AI response. |
| **Share of Voice** | Your share of all tracked category mentions. |
| **Sentiment** | Positive, neutral, or negative leaning of AI responses. |

## Mention coverage and mention rate

**Mention coverage** shows how many tracked responses mention your brand at all and which engines contribute those mentions.

**Mention rate** compares engines side by side. Use it to find engine-specific gaps. For example, if ChatGPT mentions you often but Perplexity does not, your next work should emphasize citation-rich, source-backed pages.

## Competitor comparison

The comparison chart plots your brand against top competitors over time. Use it for:

* Weekly competitive review.
* Spotting when a competitor overtakes you.
* Seeing whether growth is category-wide or brand-specific.
* Choosing which competitor to target with comparison pages.

## Top citations

Top citations ranks URLs AI engines cite most often. It can include your owned pages, competitor pages, and third-party evidence.

Use this list to decide:

| If the top citation is... | Next step |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Your owned page | Keep it fresh and consider using the format for new [Generate](/dashboard/generate) pages. |
| A competitor page | Build an alternative, comparison, or stronger proof page. |
| A third-party source | Add it to an Earn campaign or improve your presence on that source. |

## Prompt changes

Visibility also uses prompt-change data to explain what moved. When a tracked prompt starts or stops mentioning your brand, drill into [Prompt](/dashboard/prompts) and its response drawer to read the exact AI answer.

## Review routine

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start with 30 days">
    Check overall score, rank, Share of Voice, and sentiment.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find the weak engine">
    Use Mention Rate to identify the engine with the lowest brand coverage.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Inspect citations">
    Open [Citations](/dashboard/citations) to see whether the weak engine relies on owned, competitor, or third-party sources.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Act">
    Create a page in [Generate](/dashboard/generate), fix an existing page in [Fix](/dashboard/fix), or run a third-party play in [Earn](/dashboard/earn).
  </Step>
