# Display language

> Read the dashboard, documents and draft translations in English or Korean without changing the original content

The dashboard supports **English** and **한국어**. The language control at the bottom of the sidebar changes your account's display preference, including report labels and PDF language. It does not change the market, stored prompt wording or language of already written content.

## Before you start

Use a laptop or desktop and sign in to your workspace. Keep three choices separate: the language of the interface, the language of prompts in a panel, and the language in which a page was written.

## Change and read

  <Step title="Choose your display language">Click the sidebar's **English** or **한국어** row. The interface switches and confirms **Display language updated**. The preference belongs to your account, not every member of the workspace.</Step>
  <Step title="Read translated information">Supported prompt lists, content lists, guidelines and Memory show text in the dashboard language when a translation is available. Where an original-text tooltip is offered, hover to compare the wording.</Step>
  <Step title="Inspect a document's original">Use **Show original** on guidelines or Memory to read stored text, and **Show translation** to return. A partly translated view may contain original passages; use **Retry** when shown.</Step>
  <Step title="Review a draft in another language">The on-site and off-site editors offer a translated reading view when the draft language differs. The editor opens on the original. Use the translation control to read the translation; clicking a translated passage returns you to that position in the original for editing.</Step>

## What changes, and what stays original

| Report recommendations | Saved prose keeps its written language until you ask to rewrite it. |
| Published pages | No translation or republication is triggered. |

Translation arrives in parts. A long list or draft may show the original while the rest is translating. **Partly translated** means some text could not be translated; it does not mean the original was deleted or changed. Read source facts and product names against the original before approving a publication.

<Note>A translation is a reading aid. **Show translation** never saves translated wording into a prompt or publishes it as the article. To publish in another language, the actual source content must be written and reviewed in that language.</Note>

## Troubleshooting

  <Accordion title="Why are some sentences still in the original language?">Translations may still be arriving, or part of the text failed. Read the status and use **Retry** when available.</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Can I type into the translated draft?">The translated view is read-only. Click the passage to return to the matching place in the original, then edit it there.</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Does switching to Korean move measurement to Korea?">No. The prompt panel's country and language stay separate from display language.</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Why are report recommendations in another language?">They are saved prose. On the latest report, use the displayed rewrite action to write recommendations in your current dashboard language.</Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Will colleagues see my language choice?">It is your account preference. Each person chooses their own display language.</Accordion>
