AI Visibility
The degree to which a brand appears in AI-generated responses. Measured by metrics like PAWC, Share of Voice, and GEO Score. See Visibility dashboard.
Answer Capsule
A self-contained statement of 120–150 characters placed directly after an H2 heading. Designed to be quoted verbatim by AI engines. Part of the Quotability attribute.
Citation
When an AI engine links to or attributes a claim to a specific source URL in its response. Citation tracking is a core feature of the Mentions page.
Citation Coverage
The percentage of all citations in AI responses that point to your domain vs competitor domains. One of the six GEO Score sub-metrics (15% weight).
Citation Drift
Normal monthly variation (~55%) in AI citation patterns. AI engines are non-deterministic, so short-term fluctuations are expected. Trends over 30+ days are more meaningful.
Consistency
How uniform your brand’s visibility is across different AI engines. Low variance = high consistency. One of the six GEO Score sub-metrics (10% weight).
E-E-A-T
Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness. Google’s quality framework that AI engines also use to evaluate content credibility for citations.
GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
The practice of optimizing content for visibility in AI-generated responses. See What is GEO?.
GEO Attributes
The 9 core research-backed content properties that increase AI citation likelihood: Quotability, Structured Extractability, Intent Alignment, Verifiability, Definitional Authority, Temporal Grounding, Concreteness, Natural Brand Integration, Owned Insights. See GEO Strategy.
GEO Page
An AI-optimized content page auto-generated by Anymorph following the 9 core GEO attributes. Published to your brand’s domain. See GEO Pages.
GEO Score
A composite score (0–100) measuring overall AI visibility. Weighted average of six sub-scores: Visibility (30%), SOV Rank (20%), Sentiment (15%), Citation Coverage (15%), Consistency (10%), Intent Coverage (10%). See How GEO Works.
Intent Coverage
The distribution of your brand’s visibility across different search intent categories (informational, commercial, transactional, navigational). One of the six GEO Score sub-metrics (10% weight).
Knowledge Base
A collection of documents (files, URLs, text, Q&A) uploaded to Anymorph to inform GEO Page generation. Organized into tabs: General, Brand Guideline, Design Guideline, Custom Instructions, Image Assets. See Knowledge Base.
Mention
An instance where an AI engine references your brand by name in its response. Can be a direct citation (with link) or an inline mention (name only).
PAWC (Position-Adjusted Word Count)
The core visibility metric from the Princeton KDD 2024 research. Weights brand mentions by their word count and position in the AI response (exponential decay, so earlier mentions score higher). See How GEO Works.
Prompt
A query sent to an AI engine to check for brand mentions. Anymorph automatically generates industry-relevant prompts and tracks responses over time. See Prompts.
Sentiment
Whether AI mentions of your brand are positive, negative, or neutral. One of the six GEO Score sub-metrics (15% weight). See Mentions.
Share of Voice (SOV)
Your brand’s proportion of total AI mentions relative to competitors. Calculated two ways: PAWC-based (academically precise) and mention-count-based (intuitive). See Visibility dashboard.
SOV Rank
Your brand’s ranking among competitors by Share of Voice. One of the six GEO Score sub-metrics (20% weight).
Visibility Index
The PAWC-based score (0–100) representing how prominently your brand appears across all tracked AI engine responses. The single most important sub-metric of GEO Score (30% weight).
